I've been shooting the Airdrie Festival of Lights for quite a few years now, and I must say, that this past Saturday was so wonderful for weather. The first year I shot this event, it was -30 and I wasn't sure that my fingers were still attached to my hands!! This year it was above zero and beautiful.
I think because of the nice weather, more people than usual came out for opening night on Saturday. The crowds were pretty dense and it was great to see everyone having fun and enjoying the season.
I was excited to see my favorite shot from last year used on the booklet cover for this year's events:
There were crafts, cookie decorating, and mini-donuts in the kids activity tent:
Clever the camel....this is one tough camel. Even a few years ago when it was -30 for opening night, Clever was still going strong for the kids!!
Airdrie Koinonia Christian School Sr. Choir:
Kelly Gannon, the amazing caracture artist, from Stubble Studio.
A marriage proposal with help from the Festival of Lights and Santa to set it up:
Come and check out the lights!! For an event schedule, check out the Festival of Lights website.
