I finally found an evening that wasn't raining for Jessica and Jordie's engagement shoot. Initially, it seemed like it would only rain on the days that we can chosen, and even on Wednesday the skies did look ominous. We met downtown with an umbrella in hand, but didn't end up needing the umbrella, much to my delight. This was such a fun shoot, darting in and out of alleys in search of old brick and stone textures. Here are a few of my favorites:
Looking forward to your wedding in September!!

Vanessa & John's E-Shoot
I met John and Vanessa downtown about 2 weeks ago now (am I really that far behind in blogging...I'll catch up soon). It was a great windy evening with a couple of new locations for me. I love the way new locations can get the creative juices flowing. John & Vanessa were great in front of the camera...lots of romance and some laughing! Here is a sneak peek:

Krystal & Cory's Wedding
Krystal and Cory's wedding was such a fun day. Everything was in Okotoks which means free parking...woohoo! These two were sooo good at making each other laugh AND working the romance. They made my job so easy. Their wedding party was a super great bunch too!! Here is a bit of the story of their day:
The wedding party drove around in red trucks...and yes, red was the color for the wedding. There was also a long string of cans behind. LOL...awesome.
Congratulations!!!

Taking the Strobes Outside
I finally got a battery pack inverter to take my strobes outside!! Woohoo. The pack makes outdoor commercial shoots so much easier because I don't need to run extension chords and the power of the lights fill in the shadows so much better than on-camera flash. Here one shot I did yesterday for the City of Airdrie.

Linsey & Jeff's Wedding
Linsey and Jeff's wedding was the first of quite a few that I'll have at the zoo this year. It's been a popular venue and I love it there too! The weather worked just like clock work for their day. It wasn't too hot, wasn't too cold, and just when the ceremony was over, we got some cloud coverage for that beautiful, soft light.
Just before the ceremony:
I love Jeff's expresion here.
The two little ring bearers are watching intently...LOL.
Just married!!!
Jeff's two kids.
This is one of Vanessa's shots. I just love the peacock striking a pose in the foreground.
Congratulations!
