Just before I took off for Christmas, I met up with Tiffany and Sebastien for their engagement session. What a blast!! These two were so fun and romantic and made my job easy! It was a great pre-Christmas stress reliever for all of us. We laughed a lot!!!

Canadian Idol's Jaydee Bixby
On Saturday, I was at the Airdrie Festival of Lights shooting their Festival Idol competition finals. Wow! Airdrie has talent!! I was very impressed with the local singers. While the judges were deliberating, Jaydee Bixby came on for a couple of songs. He was Canadian Idol's runner up. It was very cute to see the posters held up for him and the girls yelling, "We love you Jaydee". When I was leaving, Jaydee was outside with a lineup of people wanting pictures and autographs.
Jaydee and the Bixby family band is playing again tonight (Dec.19) from 7pm-8:30pm. Come out and catch the action in Nose Creek Park on main street. You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Swim Club's Fun Meet
On Thursday I was at the pool for Airdrie's Swim Club fun meet. I was great to take off my shoes and socks, get a little wet, and hang out with the kids for a bit.
Getting some instruction from their coach, Robin.

A Mom's Christmas Gift
I recently got a call to do some "overdue" grad photos. The Myers kids had all graduated from high school, but they had never gotten around to getting some nice formal grad photos done. So better late than never, and their mom couldn't think of anything better for the holidays than nice portraits of the most important people in her life...her kids!

Lights, Camels, Monkies, and Cookies
Saturday was the opening night of Airdrie's Festival of Lights. I was certainly delighted that most of the opening ceremonies were happening in a heated tent this year! Last year was -30 or so, and I wasn't sure that my fingers were ever going to thaw out!! LOL.
As we waited for Santa to arrive, some carollers sang for us.
Santa arrived and he and Alioops (Here's the Scoop mascot) threw the switch for the lights to be turned on.
As soon as the lights were on, fireworks blasted through the night sky.
Bundled up!!
There was an artist there doing free caricature sketches. He's going to be on site every Tuesday night. Check out the resemblance in his drawing to the lady posing.....AMAZING!!! I must get one done.

Industrial Shoot- Vitreous
Today was definitely a change of scenery from my regular wedding and portrait shoots. I was at Vitreous, a glass recycling company, shooting a bit of industrial work. And lucky me got to wear safety glasses and ear plugs! Thanks Pat Cashion for disrupting your work environment a bit for the pics.
