Being a Second Shooter

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding for Bliss Photographic. I hadn't second shot for years and years, so it was great to step back a bit and let the setups be someone else's brainchild!! It was a chilly, rainy/snowy day in Canmore, but Jenny and Matt were AMAZING despite being a bit uncomfortable.

Lori and Aaron's Wedding

In the morning while getting ready, Lori said she was feeling a little bit nervous, which is very normal. She also said she would be fine as soon as she saw Aaron. When I went downstairs to talk to Aaron, he said the EXACT same thing without knowing what Lori had just said! And it was so true. As soon as they saw each other, they were all-smiles and I could see a wave of excitement and yet calmness wash over them. I couldn't wait to get the rest of the day started just because of the look in their eyes!

Amy and Steve's E-session

Cochrane has a special place in my heart because we spent a ton of time there last year learning to paraglide! So I couldn't wait to shoot in Cochrane for Amy and Steve's engagement session. They are having a small mountain themed heli-wedding which sounds amazing!!
