On Tuesday Jasmine and Blaine met me for their engagement session. They were quite fun, and very spontanious which is so fun to work with. I didn't even have to try to get these two to be comfortable in front of the camera.
It was quite hilarious to see Blaine make Jasmine laugh....he was VERY good at it!!

Shari & Carlos Wedding
Saturday was my first time shooting at the zoo, and I must say, what a phenominal location for pictures!! The rainforest was steaming, the flowers were blooming, and the animals were having a grand ol' time basking in the sun.
I love this area of the rainforest. There is some natural light that comes in just above them and illuminates the textured green wall behind.
A little bit of romance amongst the crowds.

Kevin & Angela's Wedding
As soon as we got out to Glen Eagles for Kevin & Angela's photo session and reception, it started pouring.....and then hailing! We huddled underneath of the entrance for a few minutes, because we could see that the storm would pass quickly.
In no time, the storm passed, and the strong winds played beautifully with Angela's veil.

Erin & Ryan E-Shoot
It's inevitable that on May long weekend, when everyone wants to go camping, it rains. I think it's almost assumed that it will rain, just like how we assume that gas prices will go up just before. Well, Saturday and Sunday I encountered some pretty crazy weather, and I loved it! I'll post some wedding pics from Sat soon, but first, here are some engagement pics from Erin and Ryan's shoot on Sunday. Our shoot was scheduled at 2:00, and we were both there a bit early....and it was POURING rain. We hung out in the cars for a bit and then at exactly 2:00, the rain stopped. Wow! I LOVE shooting just after a rain. It makes the greens pop out sooo much. No photoshopping done in these pics! These greens are straight off the camera. Also check out the steam coming off the bridge in the first shot by their feet.

Jennifer & Michael E-Shoot
On Saturday, Jennifer and Michael met up with me for their engagement shoot. Here are a few:
A little foreshadowing of the near future....there was talk of going on this very cool zip line in the jungle for their honeymoon. Kinda looks like they're in the jungle in this shot, right? Ok, maybe it's just some Calgary trees. LOL.

Amie & Allan E-Shoot
Saturday was a very busy afternoon! I had 3 engagement shoots that day because it was one of my last free Saturdays before crazy wedding season begins. Here are a few of my favorites from Amie & Allan's session...all I can say about this couple is fun, fun, fun! I'm looking forward to their wedding in Sept.
Feeling like the paparazzi (no idea how to spell that)....sneaking up on them.
