Stormy days are my favorite, and Jarrod and Michelle had the luckiest stormy day ever! Dark clouds were rolling in just as the ceremony started and before I knew it, it was storming all around us. Amazingly, it didn't hit us! It was quite magical.

Jason & Bonnie's E-Session- Calgary Engagement Photography

I was so glad to be able to sneak in an engagement session with Jason and Bonnie before their wedding which is just a few days away now! They were super fun, worked the romance, and daughter Madison was quite the awesome model too!

Heather & John's Wedding- Calgary Wedding Photography

It was a warm and sunny day for John and Heather's wedding. Quite summery actually which felt soooo good. They had a small, intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends at The Lougheed House. What a neat venue! Always great to be able to have everything in one location.

Heather had sent me an email the day before the wedding saying that she was "vibrating with excitement". I think this shot shows that. I just love it when brides are so excited.

Heather and John opted to see each other before the ceremony for some shots. This is their "reveal" moment. (nice capture Vanessa!)

I love the sandstone on the Lougheed House.

Those good-looking groomsmen are John's 3 sons.

Yup, the cops were present for their ceremony. I think it's good luck.

Jerrid & Kristy's E-Session- Calgary Engagement Photography

FINALLY I got to shoot with awesome clouds this season. Woohoo! Dark, dramatic clouds are probably one of my favorite conditions to shoot in, and with Jerrid and Kristy, the storm was off in the distance, so we didn't have to worry about getting wet. These two were totally working it with the clouds. Check it out:

Lisa & Churn's Wedding- Edmonton Wedding Photography

It was a chilly day for Lisa and Churn's wedding, but Edmonton was much nicer than Calgary that day. Calgary had snow and hail, and Edmonton had nothing more than a couple of sprinkles.

Even though it was chilly, Lisa and Churn sure heated things up. I was pumped to shoot in Fort Edmonton. It was a new location for me and there were sooo many neat places. I could have shot there for days! :)

Darrin & Chrissy's E-Session- Calgary Engagement Photography

I took Darrin and Chrissy out to a new location that I hadn't shot at before, and I loved soooo many elements out there! Awesome trees, cool old buildings with weathered wood, and a big green field. These two were totally working the romance and loosened up after they tickled each other a bit and had a few laughs. To Darrin and Chrissy: Thanks for making the trek out into the country!!

Jason & Brianne's Wedding- Banff Wedding Photography

Jason and Brianne's wedding was awesome in soooo many ways. The mountain venue was superb with an amazing view. As a couple, they are so connected and it was obvious how much they adore each other. I loved the way they both directed each other and had so many ideas of what they wanted to see in their photos. What fun, amazing models!!

Here is the story of their day:

After the ceremony, Jason asked me how he faired as a weepy groom on a scale of 1-10. I gave him an 8.5 :)

The sun was shining and toasty warm for their ceremony at The Juniper.

All of a sudden it got CRAZY windy while we were shooting, and I was thinkful to have a little bit of shelter to hide from the wind.

We headed into Banff for a few shots at the candy apple store! It was fun walking down Banff Ave with them. One crazy tourist followed them right into the store and begged for a photo of them.

Lisa & Chad's E-Session- Calgary Engagement Photography

Yay for leaves and the color green! Finally the leaves are out, the grass is green, and Calgary is looking like summer.

I had some fun with Lisa and Chad just before the weekend for their engagement session. It was a warm evening, the shadows were long, and I was excited to shoot.

These two were great at the romance, were playful with each other, and I defintiely saw them loosening up as the session went on.
