Jennifer & Dan's Wedding

Jennifer and Dan's wedding was one of my favorites for the quality of light and the colors. It rained most of the early afternoon, so their ceremony had to be moved inside, but once the rain let up, the light was perfect and the pavement was nice and wet for reflections. I had a hard time turning very many of these shots into black and white, because of the gorgeous fall colors!!

At the house in the morning, Jen had some "Edible Arrangements". They were super cool!!

I love it when the groom sends flowers in the morning...and the card...awwwwww.

It was still raining when we came out of the ceremony, so we went into the rainforest to shoot for a while.

WOOHOO...it stopped raining and we headed outside.

Trying to catch a peacock...lol.

Congrats!!

Jessica & Jordie's Wedding

I was pumped for Jessica and Jordie's wedding because I knew they'd be fun to work with and the fall colors were totally at their prime for their day. It was fun to hang out with the girls in the morning and see Jessica so excited.
Here is the story of their day:

We did some shots of the girls and guys separate before the ceremony because we knew the time between the ceremony and reception would be tight. I'd been eyeing this location for a long time and was so excited to be able to use it!!

The wind was doing some great things with the veil.

Married!!

I was totally pumped about this location too. I'd never been out to Bergen before, but Jordie thought it would be a great place for photos. The colors were out of this world!!!

Congrats you two. All the best in your new lives together!!

A Short Break, And Back to Work!

I had the opportunity to spend some time at Kicking Horse Resort about a week ago. What a beautiful place!! I highly recommend the sky lunch for a fun weekend away.

Jason & Brianne's E-Shoot

Jason and Brianne's engagement shoot was one of the last ones I did before all of the leaves fell of the trees in that wind storm. Ahhhh, I guess winter is approaching. Every morning these days I look out the window expecting to see snow. :)

Jason and Brianne were super fun and also great at the romance. We started out shooting some pretty romantic stuff....some nice cuddles etc, and then went into a full blown leaf fight with leaves going down Jason's back...lol. I just love seeing couples have fun together because it's so important in any relationship.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Looking forward to your wedding in May!!

Fun Fall Family Shoot

Last April I shot Nicole and Ian's wedding, and they called me up to do some fun family shots. I really love letting kids just be kids for photos because that's who they are...fun, silly, and full of energy. We laughed a lot, ran, jumped, and played in the leaves. Here are some of my favorites:

Woohoo....leaf fight:

Getting some doggie kisses :)

Ian's sister came along for a few photos too. What a nice day!! I could have sat by the water forever.

Coming Soon.....Jessica & Jordie's Wedding

More to come!!

Tom & Lorissa's Wedding

Fall is my favorite time of year. Anyone who has been to my house would know that it looks like fall all year long. I seem to decorate with only browns and oranges...and my wardrobe also seems to have a ridiculous amount of browns too, which my husband laughs at me for. LOL. Yay for fall.

I was excited to shoot another fall wedding, and I assumed that Lorissa and Tom were excited for their day too! Lorissa and Tom had a great day for weather for their wedding. It was perfect and the colors in the trees were looking amazing.

Tom's parents have an awesome yard in the country and it was a perfect venue for an outdoor ceremony.

A dramatic ceremony kiss...married!!

Congratulations!!

Terri & Elia's E-Shoot

I love shooting in the fall for so many reasons. The awesome colors are one of course, but also because I love the quality of light and the long shadows that we get mid afternoon, where as in summer you'd have to wait until 7pm for that same light.

I had a great time with Terri and Elia in Okotoks. Elia was great at being silly and making Terri laugh. Right from the start of the shoot, they were skipping and laughing, and just having fun with each other. They became more and more comfortable with the camera and in no time were working the romance too!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Looking forward to your wedding next August!

Gurpreet & Chandip

Gurpreet and Chandip have a bit of a heartbreaking story from their wedding. They were actually married a year ago, and the photographer they hired lost almost all of their wedding pictures. Now, a year later, they still have no album to show their family and friends. Well, they called me up to see if I could put an album together for them from the shots they had collected from their friends and family's cameras. There were lots of great ceremony and reception moments from these shots, but no awesome portraits of the two of them. So, they got done up again in their reception attire and I did a portrait session for them to add into their album.

I love the colors this time of year and was pumped about all of the reds in the park. I had a feeling that these two would be fairly shy in front of the camera, but within minutes they were laughing and having fun for the camera.

Here are some of my favorites from their session:
